GENERAL INFORMATION
The city of Dubrovnik is situated in the very south of the Republic of Croatia. It is Croatia’s most prominent tourist
destination, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO World
Heritage List. The city’s attractions include the city walls, the pale limestone buildings, museums, narrow streets
surrounded by medieval fortress walls and many more. The city is also the venue for numerous scientific, scholarly and
literary conferences.
CLIMATE
The geographical position of the area is typical of the Mediterranean climate with mild and damp winters,
and hot dry summers with quite low air humidity (approx. 2,600 sunny hours). Average high temperature in June is 26 °C.
However, sunny and warm days can easily be interrupted with thunderstorms so we recommend you to pack rain gear or an umbrella.
